Taking A Short Break From Dresses...

...to bring you a graduation card. I completely forgot that for some folks (mainly college graduates), that this weekend is graduation weekend. I'm going to post a card here that is appropriate for graduation and would certainly work for a high school graduation too which, in most cases, is later in the month.

I really like this card because it doesn’t use much in the way of stamps, it’s the paper that sets if off. Again, I found this on Splitcoast and can’t find it again to give proper credit so if anyone knows, please post a message back here and I'll change this post to give proper credit. It uses the Brocade Background Designer paper from SU! that is retired, but any vintage type paper would work equally well if you don't have the Brocade Background. The only thing stamped is the sentiment and the two little butterflies.
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Essence of Love
Paper: Brocade Background Designer Paper (ret.), Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon, dimensionals, double rectangle punch
The main card is AA cardstock with the Brocade paper applied. The striped panel is matted onto VV cardstock and before it's attached to the main card, rectangle holes are punched in it for the ribbon. See picture for placement. The sentiment is stamped on VV with CC ink. It is then matted on AA cardstock and again on VV. The little butterflies are stamped in CC and AA ink, cut out and attached with a half of a dimensional.
