Cheep Talk

The Retro Fresh style is somewhat outside of my comfort zone but I fell in love with this little Cheep Talk birdie so just had to have the set! The Trendy Trees came later.

The card base is Pumpkin Pie. Washington Apple designer paper is matted on to the card base. The branch is stamped on to Whisper White in Glorious Green ink. The bird is stamped with Real Red and then the ink is rubbed off the beak and legs and the proper colors of markers are used. The bird’s body is stamped again on a scrap and cut out. It is attached to the body with a dimensional. A sponge dauber is used to dab Bashful Blue ink around the edge of the bird panel. This is attached to the card with dimensionals. Paper flowers and a brad balance out the design. I couldn't get over how well this turned out!

Here's the recipe:
Stamp Set: Cheep Talk, Really Retro
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Washington Apple Designer Series paper
Ink: Real Red, Glorious Green, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie markers
Accessories: Paper flowers, yellow brad, dimensionals
